Speeches
I have been a public speaker for over 20 years, sharing my life with people across the country and, in turn, have had my life deeply enriched as a result. I share my thoughts about challenge. I share my thoughts about resilience. I share my thoughts about leadership. I share my thoughts about hope. I would love to share my thoughts with you.
The Pillars of Hope
Below is a speech I gave at the Stony Brook University TEDx session. I entitled the speech, “The Pillars of Hope”.
The Patient as the Professor, part 1
In 2014, I was honored as “Person of the Year” by the American Society for Neuro-Rehabilitation. In a ceremony in Washington DC, I gave this speech.
The Patient as the Professor, Part 2
A Shared Confidence
This was the first public speech I had ever given. It was in front of 20,000 people in Harvard Yard at my 2000 Harvard graduation. To this day, it is 1 of the most memorable occasions in my life.
Stories of hope, words of resilience.
Let me share these with you.
